Every Day

   Every Day by David Levithan is an amazing book following a teenager’s soul called A who is in a new body everyday. Each life is different and in different places. Every day he has a new life, every day he is in love with the same girl. The main focus is the relationship between A and Rhiannon and how it progresses throughout the story from no trust to a love that is stronger than ever. 

One day A was in the body of Jason, who is the boyfriend of Rhiannon. From the knowledge he gets he found out that Jason rarely treats Rhiannon well. Knowing this made A wanted to give her a good day. They went to the beach and A got to know more about Rhiannon. After meeting her A did what he could to see her. From that you could tell that A felt a true connection with her. Soon after they met A decided to tell her the truth of what happens every day. A has never felt this way about anyone and has never told anyone about what happens to his soul. When A told Rhiannon you could immediately sense the tension in the air. Rhiannon did not believe a word A said and didn't trust him so she kept her distance. As it is clear to see this is not how A wanted their relationship to be. Rhiannon was put in a tough spot. Its a lot to take in and she didn't know what to do. A tries hard to see Rhiannon and spend time with her, but how will A keep this relationship when A is in love with someone who doesn’t feel the same way back? This shows the tough beginning that A and Rhiannon went trough.   

Soon enough Rihannon and A spent more time with each other and they both felt more comfortable around one another. Their friendship included A and Rhiannon sending each other messages about their day or where they should meet up. A experienced many feelings that he has never felt before. Also A and Rhiannon both experienced new things together, like how they saved a girl from killing herself. They have both learned new things while being friends. Now Rhiannon sees how great A really is she has learned to love him. But she cant. She still has Jason, and hopes that Jason will be a better person so she wont go to the next level with A. A would not take no for an answer and just wants to be with Rhiannon. A wants to be more than just friends with her but she just wont do it. Rihannon has learned to love A but she is holding back. They know that they both love each other and they both know that they have to be together. 

One day while A was a boy he went to see Rhiannon and Jason saw them. He was jealous and beat up A. Rhiannon was infuriated and decided to end her relationship  with Jason. Even tough she was still sad about her break up with Jason she and A could now be together. But what they didn't know was how. It is devastating for me to see how much this effected their relationship. No matter what A thought of for what they could do to be together but none of it could work. How could it work if one day A could be 1 hour away from Rhiannon and then the next day 8 hours away. How cloud Rhiannon be in love with a new person every day? I could see how much this hurts both of them. At the end of the book A  realizes that there is nothing more that they can do so he leaves Rhiannon with a boy who reminds him of her. This shows that if you love someone you should set them free. Rhiannon is so special to A that he has to let her go because he knows that he can not give her the relationship she deserved When Rhiannon and A laid there on a bed you could feel the love that they shared. It was beautiful. Even though they are leaving each other I know that they are still in each others heart. 

It is hard for A and Rhiannon to keep a going and good relationship. They went through many hardships. Jason was one of them and so was the fact that A goes to a new place and body every day. They both learned to trust each other and love each other. They are now both new people. No matter where they are they will always share the connection and bond that they have, even if there are more obstacles on the way.
